A Tale About a Horse of Course

10 November 2014 10:40:53 am AEDT

The dominant success of the international racehorses over this year’s Spring Carnival is not all about what they eat – but we are very happy to play a part.

In 2014 the Caulfield Cup, Cox Plate and Melbourne Cup were won by horses from Japan, the UK and Germany respectively. Pet Horse & Farm is responsible for sourcing, sometimes manufacturing and supplying all of the feed, bedding and supplements these world class athletes require.

In the last two months we have supplied everything from our premium Yarran Oats, to luscious lucerne hay and soft stable shavings, but the most popular item has been… CARROTS!

On Wednesday 5 November we had a special request from Protectionist (runaway Melbourne Cup winner) who needed some carrots and given his performance on the first Tuesday in November we were more than happy to oblige.

We also support lots of local Flemington trainers and we were very glad to see customers Chris Waller, Mick Cerci and Nigel Blackiston win some big races over the carnival.
